Biodiversity Month Wildflower Walk – Mt Wombat & Garden Range  

Sunday 26^th September – 10am start, 3pm finish. Mt Wombat and Garden Range are two of the largest blocks of native vegetation remaining on the western escarpment of the Strathbogie Ranges. The special character of this granite range includes wonderful scenery on a grand scale, massed flowering on big rock slabs, some unique plants that are way out of their usual distribution, impressive cliffs and mossy gullies. There is a lot to see at this most attractive time of the year. The walk will be led by renowned local naturalist Ray Thomas. Outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear required. Numbers limited. TRAVELLING TOGETHER:  This community website provides the perfect forum for communicating with each other to do some car pooling/providing transport for people who can't drive, or would like to share a ride.  Use the message board to let people know if you have a spare seat available and you're heading off the Tableland to Euroa/Shepparton/Melbourne....................anywhere and you're willing to have a passenger or two. We can all benefit from doing this and you might just meet someone you might not otherwise have met. Give it a go!!!!  

FAMILY SOCCER GAME: Each Sunday afternoon at the recreation ground at 3.00pm. All welcome.      

MOBILE LIBRARY: The next visit is Saturday 18th September outside the hall from 9.30am - 12.00 mid-day.     

ST. ANDREWS CHURCH: The Church services are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, commencing at 11.30am. The dates for September are 12th and 26th September.   All welcome.

WEBSITE TRAINING SESSION: The Website sub-committee of STAG will be holding a second training session for page managers between 6 -7.30pm on Friday 10^th September. This session will provide hands on training for community members to manage their own page of the website such as Material Girls, Golf Club, CFA. Please register your interest with one of the sub-committee members – Ellen or Kate at the school, John Hooper, Dayle Tame, Sean Matthews.

Strathbogie Memorial Hall Committee of Management:

"FRIENDS OF THE FESTIVAL" MEETING TO BE HELD TUESDAY 14TH SEPTEMBER @7.30PM

The Strathbogie Memorial Hall Committee of Management is looking to the Strathbogie Community to form a sub committee to assist in the running of our very successful Strathbogie Summer Festival.

In the formation of "Friends of the Festival" we are hoping that people whom want to contribute in any way but are not able to commit to the full responsibilities of the Committee of Management will partake. If members of the community have a special interest that they would like to see included in the Strathbogie Summer Festival or on the same weekend this is the opportunity to come forward all help and ideas would be gratefully accepted..
